Important changes for lists in the last MS Word update

  • Sep 17, 2020

Less than a month ago, MS Word published its 2008 update to MS Word 2016, MS Word 2019, MS Word 365 and MS Word Online (OneDrive). This update has been progressively reaching to all users, and it changes the default allowed limits for generation of lists and the styles applied to them.

After the MS Word update, the list styles generated with old phpdocx versions do not show properly on MS Word 2016, MS Word 2019, MS Word 365 and MS Word Online (OneDrive) from the 2008 update on. Earlier MS Word versions and other DOCX readers such as LibreOffice or Google Docs do show them right.

All phpdocx 10.0 licenses -including the Trial package- have been updated in order to support this change. Earlier phpdocx versions need to upgrade to phpdocx 10.0 or higher in order to adapt to this MS Word alteration.

The needed changes have been applied to the phpdocx 10.0 packages. There is not a newly generated phpdocx version that includes them. The upgrade does not download automatically: it is required to download the new package from MY PHPDOCX.
