How phpdocx was born

A leading solution since 2009

phpdocx was created in 2009 to fill a crucial gap in the market: to generate DOCX documents in multi platform environments from data stored in different places (databases, excel files, CSVs or just templates) with the help of the main coding language, PHP. Due to its enthusiastic reception, we quickly added to the library complementary functions like importing HTML and exporting to PDF and other document formats.

A library in motion

Since its first version, phpdocx has benefitted from a constant development. Through the years, phpdocx not only has added new functionalities, but also has improved its performance and added support for the main platforms, frameworks and other libraries. Around phpdocx we have built services and resources like the phpdocx License Update Service (LUS) or our Private Area, an exclusive extranet for users with LUS.

About the company

phpdocx is a software library developed by 2mdc (trademark of Narcea Producciones Multimedia S.L.).

2mdc was founded in 1999 and since then has developed a myriad of custom web apps for its clients. From 2009 onwards our focus has shifted progressively into the development of general purpose solutions for a wider audience.

The current 2mdc family of solutions includes:

phpdocx

Easily generate Word and PDF documents with PHP from scratch, from data stored in databases or worksheets or using templates. Publish them in real time on any device: computers, tablets, smart-phones. Create them on any server (LINUX, UNIX, MAC, WINDOWS). Embed HTML and adapt it with CSS or Word styles.

xmldocx

Create sophisticated DOCX or PDFs on your web server from scratch or with templates with xmldocx. Work with the main coding languages: Python, Ruby, .NET, Node.js, C, C++ and Java. Generate documents from data stored in data sources. Embed HTML, apply a CSS style or choose the predefined Word ones.

docusuit_

A template engine to generate documentation out of web forms. Whether you are a legal firm, a business or a government and you want to maintain large repositories of documents or distribute them online, docusuit_ allows this without the need of any programming knowledge or costly development.

Signdocx

The main goal of the Digital Signature package is to provide the means to digitally sign Word and PDF documents in a web server with the only need of PHP. Sign your Word or PDF documents with any digital certificate emitted by a Certification Authority and let MS Office or Adobe Reader to take care of the final user interface.

But we at 2mdc not only develop business-related software. We have also launched a series of products oriented to other fields, like HeatMapKit, a powerful PHP library that creates intensity displays of geolocalized spatial data over Google maps or any other map server.

We are also specialists in academic contents and sites for the Spanish educational system. We have developed Wikillerato, an academic wiki filled with tests and exercises of secondary school for professors and students, Selectividad.tv, a database with solved problems for the Spanish University Entrance Examinations and Autoescuela.tv, a website that offers test driving problems in the form of very fine looking animations. The latter was awarded with the prestigious E-learning Innovation Award from Macromedia for its innovative and educational values.
