PHPDocX is a software library developed by 2mdc (trademark of Narcea Producciones Multimedia S.L.).

2mdc was created in 1999 and since then has developed a miriad of custom web apps for its clients. But from 2009 onwards our focus has shifted progessively into the development of general purpose solutions that may catter a wider audience.

PHPDocX was born to cover the needs of some of our clients that required to generate dynamical Word reports out of data stored in different formats (databases, excel files, CSVs, ...) and only later became a fullfledged solution that could be distributed as a commercial solution.

PHPDocX is part of a family of solutions that also include:

JAVADocX: its Java avatar, and
LEGALDocX: a template engine for the generation of legal documentation out of web forms (to be launched soon)

designed to generate Word documents in Open Source platforms (although they may also be used in a purely Microsoft enviroment as long as they run PHP).

But 2mdc does not only develops software directly related to the business world, we have also recently launched a series of products oriented to other segments, among them a sophisticated tool for the collaborative annotation of online images (developed in collaboration with the General Foundation of the Spanish National Research Council).

The PHPDocX Team

	Eduardo Ramos Eduardo is the one that had the guts to read the almost 6000 pages of the OOXML standard on which the new version of Word is based...and he lost his hair in the process. If you ask for support you may heard of him, as long as it does not require a profound knowledge of PHP.
	Jorge López Jorge is the leader developer for the PHPDocX project...he is the person to talk with if you have to get into the nitty gritty details of the library. He enjoys programming in PHP, Python and Java and he is becoming a Symfony evangelist.
	Victor Barbero Victor is one of our senior PHPDocX developers, although he is still pretty junior on his looks. He was the first ever to write a line of code for PHPDocX... although it seems that his hairline has not receded because of that.
	José Manuel Carnero José Manuel is a seasoned PHP programmer and nowadays he is working in extending the library so it can be used not only by users with a working knowledge of PHP but also by prosumers.
	Javier Villalva Javier is the person you have to talk with if you have any kind of administrative question regarding invoices or payments. Incredibly enough he does not use PHPDocX to generate the invoices but a legacy piece of software we developed quite a long time ago.
