So I enabled logging in config/log4php.xml and log statements are getting generated by the system itself. How do I add my own custom statements to the code so that I can trace/debug the issues? Is there a library for doing that?

Please help.

Figured it out PhpdocxLogger::logger('log statement', 'debug');

Yes, you just need to invoke PhpdocxLogger::logger static method. It's a singleton to use the logger.
