Hello,

phpdocx doesn't crop images but if the dpi, width or height of the image to be replaced is different from the existing image, it may be streched. We recommend you to set that options in the replacePlaceholderImage to replace it properly.

Or you could use a text placeholder and use the replaceWordFragment method to add the image:
